If you are intending to travel through Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya, buying the East African visa will save you much. East African Visa can be got from any of these three countries and it costs only USD100.
Visas are not required from nationals of Angola, Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Burundi, Belize, Comoros, Cyprus, Eritrea, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada,

Italy (only diplomatic passports), Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Malta, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Uganda Travel VisaNationals of countries other than those listed above should contact their nearest Ugandan embassy to obtain visas in advance of their visit though they can also be obtained from the countries entry points.

A valid passport is mandatory for any visitor to Uganda. You should endeavor to travel with a passports with at least 6 months before its expiry date.

A visitor on a tourist visa can not take up work or get a work permit. If one intends to take up work or residence in Uganda, then he or she visit the Immigration Department where the work permits are issued.
