The Weekly Observer

The Weekly Observer or The Observer is an independent weekly newspaper based in Kampala. Published in English, it comes out every Thursday. The first copy of the paper hit the streets on 25 March 2004. Established by 11 journalists, the paper suffered a setback when its founding managing editor and most senior journalist, John Ogen Kevin Aliro, died in November 2005.
