Nyangoma

Name given to the older of twins, when it is a girl. The name literally means "mother of the drum" (an important symbol and instrument in Ugandan culture). The drum may, in the case, also be construed as the placenta. When the older of twins is a boy, it is called "Isingoma". The younger of twins is called "Nyakato" when it is a girl and "Kato" when it is a boy. this is the name in Alego, of the village where Barack Obama, Sr. the father of the 44th President of USA was born.
