Museveni

[edit] English translation or interpretation

The term "Museveni" is derived from the English language and means "of the seventh". It was initially associated with Ugandan soldiers who served with the British during the Second World War (1939 - 1945). Apparently, they belonged to the Seventh Batalion of the King's African Rifles which fought against the Italians in Ethipia (Abbysinia) and the Japanese in Burma (Myanmar). A number of boys born around that period were given the name "Museveni" in the honour of the soldiers.
