Lost (adjective)
[edit] Meaning or equivalent in standard English
In Ugandan English, "to be lost" has two additional meanings: 1. To be rarely seen. If a person hasn't been seen for a long time, they are said to be lost. This doesn't necessarily mean that they are missing or they can't find their way, simply that a particular person hasn't seen them in a relatively long time. 2. Not to understand or comprehend something.
