Kato

Literally means "young" or "the young(er) one". Kato is a name given to the younger of twins, when it is a boy. When it is girl, it is called "Nakato" (among the Baganda) or "Nyakato" (among the Banyoro, Batooro), which carries the same meaning. The older of twins is called "Wasswa" (Baganda) or "Isingoma" (Banyoro, Batooro) when it is a boy. It is a girl, it is called "Babirye" (Baganda) or "Nyangoma" (Banyoro, Batooro).
